Update from Biarritz: Showboy wins international début

Last Tuesday Marcel and Joyce have arrived in Biarritz (France). They have had the first competition day and Joyce gives an update:

Joyce: 'Thursday the vet check was on the program and both horses we took with us, Showboy and Vanquisch, passed. It is really hot here, over 30 degrees, so the horses really have to adjust. Showboy only met the requirements to compete international last week but I decided to take him to Biarritz as well. The result: he won his international small tour début with a score of 71,34%! It only was his third Prix St. Georges test ever! On Saturday we will ride the Intermediare I test but we never did this before. Vanquisch came sixth in the Prix and scored 67,17%. The best six qualify for the freestyle on Sunday. We just will do our utmost best!'
