Two champions and a reserve champion!

Last Sunday it was a long but very succesful day at the Dutch regional championships in Reuver. Maddy, Marcel and Joyce have left at 7.30 AM.

Maddy first had to show vbd Carross Corleone (by Johnson). This test was a qualifier and the best three would go to the final in the afternoon. We were very satisfied with the test and Maddy and Corleone (canter picture) got 68,17% and won the test. Then we had the prizegiving ceremony and afterwards the finals in each level started.

Maddy and Corleone were number three in the starting order. This time as well, it was a very good test. We did not get the results immediately after the test and Maddy had to put her focus on the second horse, Beukenvallei's Cesj. There was just a short time to warm up for Cesj as there were only three combinations between Corleone and Cesj. Joyce already hand walked Cesj, who qualified on Saturday for the finals. Normally Cesj (right picture) needs a bit longer for the warming up but that wasn't possible today. Inspite this time schedule Cesj was better than on Saturday. Too bad he made some small mistakes: rein back and leg yield could go better but anyway, Marcel, Joyce and Maddy were happy. Cesj did his utmost best and that's important. The other two finalist have ridden a good test as well so it was very exciting.

Then the pricegiving ceremony of Corleone's level was about to take place. Maddy was still on Cesj so she took him. Another exciting moment and then we heart: Maddy and VDB Carross Corleone came indoor champion 2011-2012!! Today the duo scored almost 70%!
This cereomy was followed by the prize giving ceremony for Cesj' test. What a day, Maddy and Cesj came reserve champion! The score was over 67%.

After this ceremony M2 level was on the program and Judith Deboughnoux, one of Marcel's students, competed in this final. Judith showed Bo, a mare bred by Judith herself. She completed the day by winning her level. Another champion!

It was a very succesful weekend which we will not forget easily!

We like to thank all supporters that came to Reuver. All 'Beukenvallei-girls' were present to support Maddy. Also, we would like to thank and congratulate family Vd Broek, the owners of VDB Carross Corleone and the co-owner of Beukenvallei's Cesj, Adri de Bruijn. All were present just like Maddy's parents and boyfriend who helped as well!
