Report Le Mans: Euro 5th in Prix St. Georges!!

After a safe trip Marcel, Joyce, Stan, Pip and Euro arrived on Tuesday in Le Mans, in France.

The Beukenvallei team arrived on a fantastic accommodation with a huge arena, many trainings arenas, many shops and restaurants and nice stalls. Euro got some easy work the first day and he got green light during the vet check. The day after he was trained as usual.

On Thursday the first test was on the program, the Prix St. Georges. It was a strong field so that made the competition extra exciting. The class started at 8 AM and Joyce and Euro were the second to enter the arena so that was pretty early :-)

Euro was good! In particular the first part of the test was really good. During the canter tour there was a big mistake in a flying change and the judges gave threes and fours but they were right.. The second pirouette could have been a bit better and the salut at the end as well but in general the test was good. 

Euro and Joyce got over 69% but it took hours before the final ranking was known as Joyce was the second competitor. The pair finished fifth and had to tack up for the prize giving ceremony! A great result!

On Friday the Inter 1 is on the program and the best 15 of this test are qualified for the freestyle.
