Maraya and Typhoo score in the Grand Prix!

Yesterday Marcel's student Maraya Petersen has performed very well at the national show in Beuningen (The Netherlands). She competed Typhoo and the pair scored over 60% at Grand Prix level!

Maraya: 'I am a real amature rider and I never expected to reach this level. When I was a small girl I dreamt to show at small tour level. I never thought I would compete at big tour level one day! In 2002 I bought Typhoo. At that time he was one and a half years and I liked his expression in his face and his quick hind leg although he moved like a pony... For a long time I thought he would always be a pony as he was just 1.58m when he was broken in. Way too small for me... So the idea was to break him and sell him. Apparently Typhoo didn't agree as he grew and grew and now he is 'a real horse' and 1.70m.

In May
2004 we performed for the first time, at L1 level. We have showed in all classes with ups and downs. Since yesterday Typhoo is officially a Grand Prix horse and I am a Grand Prix rider! Sounds pretty bizarre but very cool as well!

I am very greatful Marcel of the
Beukenvallei taught me so much! Without his great training and trust we would never have made it. Also, I would like to thank my parents for the help and support! And of course I thank all other supporters!

Yesterday's test was not without mistakes of course so we have home work to do and we might score a bit higher in the fututre. But for now I am very very happy!'
