Many prizes in Pompadour

Last Monday morning Marcel, Joyce, Stan, Juanjo, Pip and the horses arrived safely at The Beukenvallei after a very successful week at the international show in Pompadour, France.

A week before they all left and after 11 hours of travelling they arrived in Pompadour on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday all horses were just hand walked and on Wednesday the first training was on the program. On Thursday morning there was a training in the main arena and in the afternoon the vet check has taken place. Hero, George and Euro got green light and passed without any problems. 

It was very busy in Pompadour so the shows started early every day. At 07.30 AM the first combination entered the arena and the last competitors entered the ring at 9 PM. 

On Friday morning Hero competed in the show for five year olds and it was a very big class. Hero did a good job and was ranked second with a score of 81,6%!

Then it was up to Euro. Again a big field, this time in the Prix St. Georges class and Euro was very focussed and was super in the test. He and Joyce ended up as runner up with a score of 71,6%!

George's first test in France was on Saturday so he could train one more day. 

On Saturday all three horses had to compete. Hero did the final of the five year olds, wow he was soooooo good. Again a second place and now the score went up to 83,6%!!

George was fantastic as well and he came second with a score of 80,4%. How awesome! 

Euro was shown at Intermediaire 1 level. He felt a little tired but the first part of the test was very good. In the end there were some mistakes in the tempi changes so the score was almost 68%. But he good news was he was qualified for the freestyle on Sunday. 

On Sunday the day started early as George had to compete in the final. He was relaxed and he now was ranked third with a score of 80,6%  in the class for six year olds.

Euro was a bit tensed when he entered the ring and turned around so entering the erena was marked with a 2... Too bad as it was difficult to be in time with the music after this happened. But he was good in the rest of the test so Joyce was satisfied. 

All three horses have behaved to super, we are so proud of these top horses!
