Leonie Nijskens in winningmood!

 

On the first of December a regional Dutch qualifier was on the program for Leonie Nijskens (picture). The show has taken place in Beek. Leonie is a student of Marcel and she is in the winning mood lately. She already was in good shape at the other selections and this time she won the M2 level with over 200 points! In the same class our stable rider Maddy Ramakers came second with her own mare Aphrodite. Eveliene Smeets came fourth.

Also, there was bad luck for Maddy: she competed Beukenvallei's Elroy and Beukenvallei's Euroboy as well at this show. Both horses went well and the tests were nice but the judges had a different opinion. Maddy came 10th and 12th. 

Marcel: 'well, you know, this is dressage. You know this can happen in our sport but what the judges would like to see today I don't understand. The most important thing is our three year olds did a good job. Both have improved since the last show. Too bad this is a regional qualifier so you need these points for the next round. As the whole ranking was mixed up compared to other shows, I think this show won't influence the final ranking so bad.'
