Japanese students score in Deauville!

Last week Marcel has been in France for several days to coach his Japanese students Akane Kuroki and her husband Kojiro Soma at CDI***Deauville.

The goal of these Japanese riders is to qualify for the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. To qualify Akane and her Don Luka needed one more score of 64% or higher at Grand Prix level and they made it!! Too bad the test contained some big mistakes but nevertheless the score was over 64%.

Kojiro showed his new horse Sacre Coeur for the second time so this duo first need more experience but Kojiro got over 63% in the Grand Prix Special.

As it looks now Akane (pictured) has qualified for the team which will compete in Perl in September to qualify as a team as well. To qualify with the team the need to beat South Africa and New Zealand.

If the team doesn't qualify Akane can qualify as an individual. In that case she need two time a 65% score given by an O-judge but Akane already fullfilled this requirement.

Kojiro and Sacre Coeur are only just a combination. So Marcel takes this combination to Verden in Germany next week to compete again.
