Good Dutch championship for Leonie Nijskens

The Dutch championships were on Leonie Nijskens' schedule last weekend. The student of Marcel competed her Crespo at M2 level. She travelled in the early morning to Utrecht (The Netherlands) as her level started already at 8:30 AM. Before the test the riders could have a few minutes in the main arena. Leonie wanted to let her horse get used to the arena. That was a good idea as Crespo was very spooky in the corner where the restaurant was situated.

The trot part went really well in the test and the corner was not that scary any more. In the canter tour Crespo spooked because of a photographer and he changed canter in the counter canter. That was too bad but Leonie was satisfied about her performance. The pair came seventh and Leonie can look back at a successfull Dutch championship!
