A long but successful day in Geldrop!

The Dutch yearly event Geldrop Hippique has dressage on the program this week so Marcel and Joyce will be present here for three days. Monday the levels B till Z2 were scheduled.

Joyce competed three horses as the younsters can gain so much experience at this great accommodation and everything is organized very well.

First Joyce showed the five year old talented gelding
Beukenvallei's Euroboy at M1 level. Recently this pair debuted at the Dutch show in Schaijk and today we noticed Euroboy already has made a lot of progression as the test went very well and Joyce was very satisfied about the feeling he gave her during the test. The score of 203 points was certainly not too much but the feeling Joyce had is much more important!

Than
Joyce got on the Dutch KWPN approved stallion Firestone (picture) which is owned by Team Nijhof. This pair has made their début at L2 level. The stallion realy has a great character! During his warming up the local riding school had pony lessons at the same time and Firestone kept on being very focussed on his rider. He did a great job in the test as well. There were some little thing to improve but Marcel and Joyce were very happy. His walk was marked with a nine. The final score was 216 points and the judge's comment was that he had enjoyed watching their test!

The third horse Joyce competed was Feiner Stern. This great son of Tango (owned by Mr. Gijs Looijmans) was showed at L2 level. The horse was competed for the second time by Joyce and this test already was much better than the first test. With a score of 212 points the pair came third.

Several students of
Marcel and Joyce competed in Geldrop as well:
Mandy Wilms and Lotte Verstappen both won their test and both won a nice rug!
Mandy débuted aboard El Ganador at M2 level and Lotte won aboard Etrine the L1 test.
Fleur Hovers and Allure scored over 60% at Z1 level and aboard Sir Edson Fleur competed at M1 level for the first time and this resulted in the fourth prize.
R
emigio Kort did a good job at M1 level and scored 204 points.
Monica Visser and Dimension debuted at M1 level and scored 199 points.
Jose Manuel Vicente Guil and his mare Darina showed at Z2 level. The pair had some small mistakes and two big ones but still the score was enough to end fifth. Tomorrow Jose Manuel and Darina are in Geldrop again to show in the test for six year old dressage horses, the Subli Cup.
