George in the final of the Pavo Cup!

Last Monday Marcel and Joyce have taken George (owned by Andrea and Rob Tinbergen) to Ermelo (NLD) where the semi final of the Pavo cup was on the program for Joyce and George.

On Monday Joyce and George had a trainings round in the show arena and that went very well. George felt great!

Tuesday was show day: just when Joyce and George entered the ring it began to rain so hard. That day it only rained five minutes... just when Joyce was doing her test! Really!

George was a little tensed during walk due to waving flags but George was fully focussed in the rest of his test. He got great marks, e.g. 8,5 for trot and 8 for harmony and for his talent as a dressage horse. George was qualified for the final! 

This final was held on Thursday but because of the very bad weather the organization decided to ride indoors. There is an amazing indoor arena in Ermelo at the Dutch federation center. There was no room to have a trainings round in this arena so many young horses were a bit spooky or at least excited. George did a super job and his performance was very good. We got very nice comments of the judges. George got and 7 for walk, 8,5 for trot and canter, 8 for harmony and talent as a dressage horse. 

So we can look back to a very successful Pavo Cup!
